With 17 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Mattie Beason has built a distinguished career in both operations and consultancy. Having operated some of Durham's most beloved establishments, including Pop'sRue ClerSix Plates, and Mattie B’s Public House, Mattie has a deep understanding of the inner workings of independent restaurants and a true passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.

After years in the restaurant business, Mattie expanded his expertise into sales and distribution, working with Stem Cidersand Boulder Beer, where he honed his skills in beverage management and supplier relationships.

Today, Mattie leads Entree Consulting, where he helps developers and restaurant operators navigate the complexities of the independent restaurant world. With a unique combination of hands-on experience and strategic insight, Mattie is dedicated to empowering his clients to build sustainable, successful food and beverage businesses while staying true to their unique vision.
