When Ashley Christensen asked Elm to help her chef de cuisine at Poole's Diner open his own place, Jim from Humble Pie called at the right time. Representing both parties, Elm helped purchase the business, raise capital for the new operator Dave Ellis, and create a new space that Raleigh will hopefully enjoy for years to come.

Elm has worked with Gateway’s owners to secure tenancy for Mala Pata (the latest project from Angela Salamanca) and Fiction Kitchen (the beloved vegan restaurant) in the latest iteration of a growing area of town. Elm helped all parties navigate the bumps in the road with ease.

The Bend: coming in summer 2024, the Bend will occupy the three houses at 849 W. Morgan St. This project will revive the historic nature of the buildings and they will house a bar by Trophy Brewing, State of Beer, and coffee shop. Elm was instrumental in securing LOIs for the project and has worked hand in hand with the owners and investors to insure a successful opening.

The former ABC Cornershop space at the corner of Wilmington and Martin street in Downtown Raleigh stood long neglected before Elm Partners secured a lease with Ashley Christensen. Beasley’s has risen to the top of every Downtown “where to eat” list since opening and the partnership between tenant and landlord is strong.

If you don’t know about Dose Yoga, you may want to get your yoga clothes on and run. Emily Wallace Coules has become the golden standard for hot yoga studios in the triangle and has created a community around Dose that can’t be matched. With locations in Smokey Hollow and the new North Hills Innovation District, the sky is the limit for the future of Dose.

Raleigh Ironworks is quickly becoming one of the coolest developments in the triangle. When Luke Suggs came to ELM for help with opening his concept Beatniks, RIW was a perfect fit. With a hip style and a great price point, Beatniks has something for every guy in town.
